Når patienter bedre forstår, hvordan kliniske forsøg af god kvalitet udføres, og når de kan få indflydelse på designet og gennemførelsen, vil det medføre øget rekruttering til kliniske forsøg i Schweiz og hele Europa. EUPATI-materialet kan desuden danne grundlag for uddannelseskurser til bestemte patientgrupper og være med til at fremme borgerforskning generelt.

Karin Holm is a breast cancer survivor and created the Swiss non-profit association Patient Advocates for Cancer Research and Treatment (PACRT) whose goal is to bring the patient perspective into all aspects of cancer research and treatment by placing informed patient advocates onto cancer-related decision-making bodies.
